Sexy Weaves
Sexy Weaves, commonly known as 「麻花」, is an additional state where the weaves are performed with crossed wrists. By intertwining the hands, it complicates the move, enhancing visual richness, or serves as a connection between specific moves. By intertwining the hands, the move becomes more complex, enhancing visual effects, or serving as a transition between specific moves. Sexy Weaves significantly tests the performer’s flexibility, wrist dexterity, and control over inertia.
Sexy Weaves if often started with adding an extra Rotation to a maneuver. Common variations include Sexy Weaves - Waist Wrap, Sexy Weaves - Meltdown, and Sexy Weaves - BTB.
Cross-Windmill
Cross-Windmill, commonly known as 「麻花風車」, is a closed grip maneuver consisting of ATH-Weaves, completed in two beats. Cross-Windmill belongs to the broader category of Sexy Weaves.
In the vanilla version of Cross-Windmill, the right hand performs pinky lead ATH-Weaves, and the left hand performs thumb lead ATH-Weaves. Both hands overlap above the head, with the right hand on top, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Cross-Windmill. If both hands perform with pinky lead, it is called Cross-ATH-Butterfly. If both hands perform with thumb lead, it is called Reverse Cross-ATH-Butterfly.
Cross-Windmill can also be categorized as right hand on top and left hand on top. The trajectories and visuals of both are basically the same, but the way they connect to other moves and limitations differ. Adding Rotation to Cross-Windmill allows the crossing hands to switch positions freely.
BTB Crosser
BTB Crosser is an open grip maneuver consisting of BTB-Weaves, completed in two beats. BTB Crosser belongs to the broader category of Sexy Weaves.
In the vanilla version of BTB Crosser, the right hand performs pinky lead BTB-Weaves, and the left hand performs thumb lead BTB-Weaves. Both arms overlap behind the back, with the left arm inside, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand with pinky lead, it is called Reverse BTB Crosser. If both hands perform with pinky lead, it is called Butterfly BTB Crosser. If both hands perform with thumb lead, it is called Reverse Butterfly BTB Crosser.
BTB Crosser can also be categorized as right hand inside and left hand inside. The trajectories and visuals of both are basically the same, but the way they connect to other moves and limitations differ. Adding Extension to BTB Crosser allows the crossing hands to switch positions freely.
Meltdown
Meltdown, also known as Cosmo, is an open grip maneuver consisting of Cross-Weaves, BTB-Weaves, and Rotation, completed in four beats.
The core concept of Meltdown is that while the fans are spinning, the hands move around the waist back and forth, typically transitioning from the position of Cross-Weaves to the position of BTB-Weaves, with both hands’ positions mirroring each other.
In the vanilla version of Meltdown, the right hand performs pinky lead Palm Rotation followed by BTB-Weaves, then Thumb Rotation transitioning to Cross-Weaves. The left hand performs thumb lead Palm Rotation followed by Cross-Weaves, then Thumb Rotation transitioning to BTB-Weaves, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Meltdown.
If both hands perform with pinky lead, it is called Butterfly Meltdown. If both hands perform with thumb lead, it is called Reverse Butterfly Meltdown. The Butterfly Meltdown has a complete sequence of six beats, fans forming W-Relation together time opposite direction. Since it doesn’t require adding Rotation, it is relatively easier, but this also makes the move longer.
Closed Meltdown
Closed Meltdown is a closed grip maneuver consisting of Closed Cross-Weaves and Closed BTB-Weaves, completed in four beats.
In the vanilla version of Closed Meltdown, the right hand performs pinky lead Closed Cross-Weaves and Closed BTB-Weaves, and the left hand performs thumb lead Closed Cross-Weaves and Closed BTB-Weaves. The hands move around the waist back and forth, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Closed Meltdown.
If both hands perform with thumb lead, it is called Closed Butterfly Meltdown. If both hands perform with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Closed Butterfly Meltdown. The Butterfly version of Closed Meltdown has a complete sequence of four beats, fans forming W-Relation together time opposite direction.
The closed grip version of Meltdown replaces Cross-Weaves and BTB-Weaves with their closed grip versions, thus eliminating the need for Rotation. Although this makes the move more intuitive, it does not decrease the difficulty; in fact, it increases it.
Fountain Family
Open Fountain is an open grip maneuver consisting of Open Weaves, Cross-Weaves, and Rotation, completed in six beats.
In the vanilla version of Open Fountain, the right hand performs thumb lead Open Weaves and Cross-Weaves with one Thumb Rotation followed by one Palm Rotation. The left hand performs thumb lead Cross-Weaves and Open Weaves with one Palm Rotation followed by one Thumb Rotation, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand performs with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Open Fountain.
Open Anti-spin Fountain, also known as Body-tracing Anti-spin, is an open grip maneuver consisting of Open Weaves and Cross-Weaves, completed in four beats.
In the vanilla version of Open Anti-spin Fountain, the right hand performs pinky lead 5p Anti-spin, and the left hand performs thumb lead 5p Anti-spin, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand performs with pinky lead, it’s called Reverse Open Anti-spin Fountain.
Crosser Fountain is an open grip maneuver consisting of Cross-Weaves and Rotation, completed in four beats.
In the vanilla version of Crosser Fountain, the right hand performs pinky lead Cross-Weaves with one Palm Rotation followed by one Thumb Rotation, and the left hand performs thumb lead Cross-Weaves with one Thumb Rotation followed by one Palm Rotation, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand performs with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Crosser Fountain.
Closed Fountain is a closed grip maneuver consisting of Weaves, ATH-Weaves, and Closed Cross-Weaves, completed in six beats.
In the vanilla version of Closed Fountain, the right hand performs pinky lead Weaves, ATH-Weaves, and Closed Cross-Weaves, and the left hand performs thumb lead Closed Cross-Weaves, ATH-Weaves, and Weaves, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand performs with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Closed Fountain.
Closed Anti-spin Fountain is a closed grip maneuver consisting of Weaves and Closed Cross-Weaves, completed in four beats.
In the vanilla version of Closed Anti-spin Fountain, the right hand performs pinky lead 5p Anti-spin, and the left hand performs thumb lead 5p Anti-spin, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand performs with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Closed Anti-spin Fountain.
ATH Family
ATH-Meltdown is an open grip maneuver consisting of Open ATH-Weaves and BTB-Weaves, completed in seven beats.
In the vanilla version of ATH-Meltdown, the right hand performs pinky lead Open ATH-Weaves followed by BTB-Weaves, and the left hand performs thumb lead Open ATH-Weaves followed by BTB-Weaves. ATH-Meltdown typically starts with fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction, and the hands cross over each other. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand performs with pinky lead, it is called Reverse ATH-Meltdown.
ATH-Meltdown is a hybrid moves, where splitting the move into single hands results in six beats each. However, due to the unequal speed of the extension between the right hand’s Open ATH-Weaves transitioning to BTB-Weaves and the left hand’s BTB-Weaves, and the extension between the left hand’s BTB-Weaves transitioning to Open ATH-Weaves and the right hand’s BTB-Weaves, the complete motion ends up being seven beats.
Closed ATH-Meltdown is a closed grip maneuver consisting of ATH-Weaves and Rotation, completed in four beats.
In the vanilla version of Closed ATH-Meltdown, the right hand performs pinky lead ATH-Weaves followed by Palm Rotation and Thumb Rotation, and the left hand performs thumb lead ATH-Weaves followed by Thumb Rotation and Palm Rotation, fans forming O-Relation spilt time same direction. If the right hand performs with thumb lead and the left hand performs with pinky lead, it is called Reverse Closed ATH-Meltdown.
